- THERE ARE CHANGES IN THE RULES.... IT IS NOW DIFFERENT THAN PICKLEBALL RULES!
- Every time there is a serve – there is a point scored. RALLY SCORE
- The side winning a rally adds a point to its score.
- In PE we may play a “points” Tournament! The person with the most points at the end of the Tournament wins the Tournament. Each day you get a different partner and play against a new team of 2. When playing a “Points” tournament we play to 21… first team to 21 wins. You DO NOT have to win by 2!
- RALLY SCORING WILL BE USED!
- ONLY ONE PLAYER SERVES PER SIDE. (different from Pickleball)
- At the beginning of the game and when the score is even, the server serves from the right service court. When it is odd, the server serves from the left court.
- Rally Scoring - If the serving side wins a rally, the serving side scores a point and the same server serves again from the alternate service court.
- Rally Scoring - If the receiving side wins a rally, the receiving side scores a point. The receiving side becomes the new serving side.
- The players do not change their respective service courts until they win a point when their side is serving.
The serve must be delivered to the diagonal service court.
A shuttlecock that lands on the line is considered "good" or "in."
The service is made from the right hand court when your score is an even number and from the left hand court when your score is an odd number.
- The order of server depends on the score odd or even same as in singles.
- The service courts are changed by the servicing side only when a point is scored. In all other cases, the players continue to stay in their respective service court from where they played previous rally. This shall guarantee alternate server.
The service must be an underhand motion, with the racket face remaining below your waist.
The serve may not touch the net.
A player may not touch the net with the racket or any part of his / her body.
A birdie that touches the ceiling, fans, basketball nets, or walls is considered out.
A player may not hit the birdie more than once. Only one hit is legal to send the bird over the net.
